Cadets:
Your work this week is to post the name of your Vietnam War Movie that you selected for your term project and to explain the reasons why you chose the movie. You can list your movie and basic information about the movie. Remember that you must watch the movie and fill out the Term Project Worksheet just like you did with your Book review. You'll get the date when your movie is due this next week when we return to class. As always, remember to watch your movie the first time for your own enjoyment and the second and third time for your required work. Good luck and I hope you enjoy this assignment.
I picked the movie "Platoon", because a colleague of mine picked it as well. The second reason I picked it was because it tells the story of a guy who left college to fight for his country, and did not try to cheat his way out of a Draft.

The movie I choose was "casualties of war". I choose this movie because I never seen or heard of this movie. The movie also has a interesting story and idea of what war is like.

The movie i chose was "The Deer Hunter". I chose this movie because I looked up what the movie was about and it caught my attention. Also it has multiple actors in it that i know are good so i thought it would be interesting.

The movie that I choose is "a shining bright lie" because this movie was also one of the best Vietnam war story. Vietcong wants to throw over the government to spread communism.
ReplyDeleteThe movie I chose to watch is "84 Charlie Mopic". I choose this movie because I found the premise and story of the film unique and suspenseful. It also is about a Black Sergeant that leads his squad during racial era.

The movie that I choose is"The Green Berets",I choose this movie because the name is very interesting and it is an exciting war film that was lambasted by critics who at the time of its release opposed the war in Vietnam.

ReplyDeleteI wasn't there the first day we picked the movies therefore I chose from the movies that were left. The movie I chose was "Platoon" because it sounded the most interesting one out of the rest. The movie was released on December 24, 1986 and it was directed by Oliver Stone.

DeleteRosa7- I chose the movie Casualties Of War because I've seen it before. It has a real emotional impact. It's sad to know the men protecting us would do something as horrific as what is depicted in the movie. Just goes to show you that everyone has 2 sides. That is why I chose this movie.

SAND7 i picked the movie platoon leader, because i thought i would learn something about calling commands or something because i dont have 3rd period jrotc. but the title isnt very interesting.
