Blog #10 Leaders gotta lead so readers gotta read, followers should become better leaders.

Since we are reading about leadership and management, your task this week should be a relatively easy one. You must select a leader from the 20th or 21st Century that is a positive role model and read an autobiography or biography about that person. Below is a list of possible selections but they are not the only ones to choose from. You must select your person, then find a web-site about the individual and post the URL back to our blog and you must then explain why you chose that person. The last thing that you must do is to comment on at least one other cadet's work. Remember that leaders come in all shapes and sizes and also from all areas and walks of life, not just from the military or politics. Anyone that has had a profound positive effect on society as a whole is up for grabs. Don't forget that there are 4 parts to this assignment and the you must complete all 4 parts to get your full credit for this homework assignment. See the list that follows for ideas and remember that if you can't find your book right away, you must select a different leader as quickly as possible. Your book must also be at least 100 pages in length.

I chose Lech Walesa, because I think that he was the biggest positive influence in Poland in the 1990`s.
I was considering choosing Ghandi, but if I could pick anyone, it would be Lech Walea (bias).

I choose Pancho Villa because I've heard of him but I've never known why his name is known around. It would be interesting to know more about him and his accomplishments. Learning about him would also help me learn more about the history of my parents origin.

    1. I like that you chose a leader you don't know, which means you will acquire more knowledge when you learn about him . That is an active learner.

I choose Franklin D. Roosevelt because he was able to change many lives, he had polio and he opened centers where other patients can come and have therapy. He inspires me because he was able to run a country with his waist down being paralyzed. what really inspires me was that he was struggling and was in denial but he pulled through for the better of his country. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franklin_D._Roosevelt

  8. I chose Donald trump because he is a strong and stern leader. He is not afraid to do what has to be done or say what needs to be said. A lot of politicians trade favors for campaign money but he supports himself.

I choose Princess Diana because I've heard about her before and I thought it would be an interesting choice because I would like to get to know more about her since I've heard about her death and other stories about her but never read anything about her so I thought it would be a good choice to get to know more about her.

I chose Hillary Clinton because she is in the presidential race for 2016. I believe that Hillary may be the first female president of the United States. I think she can make a difference for American females and possibly females around the world as well.

I always like learning new things so i asked 1SG to choose a person for me. i didn't know who to choose as well but i wanted to do someone that i completely didn't know and it was Billie Holiday at first when i heard about her i thought it was a male. but it was a woman she is a legendary jazz singer. I don't listen to jazz so when i heard of her while doing my project i searched up her songs and listened to them and they are nice. Billie Holiday had a rough childhood but she made her way up and she also won a grammy.
